MS 115 is a casebound volume measuring 332 x 214 mm. Wittgenstein has included dates between 14 December and 25 August 1936 in the text. The binding consists of cream leather over board with five lines ruled horizontally on the spine and lines ruled round the edges of the front and rear cover in blue. The corners of the binding have been consolidated at some point.

Internally, there are two heavy flyleaves at front and rear with endpapers of brown and blue marbled paper and 144 leaves measuring 220 x 202 mm. Pages are ruled 35 lines to the page with two vertical red lines on the left of the page and four vertical red lines on the right, suggesting that it was intended as an account book. The text is in German, produced using blue-black ink and a typewriter. The volume has been paginated 1 to 294 including the verso of the second flyleaf and the recto of the first rear flyleaf.

Pages 95 to 100 contains pages 604 to 609 of typescript 211 pasted in.
