TS 229 consists of 272 typescript leaves foliated ff. 186-457 in typescript (ff. 338 - 342 are also foliated ff. 6-10 in pencil). Leaves are of differing sizes and measure as follows. Ff 186-203 are 211 x 284 mm; ff. 204-270 are 209 x 296 mm; ff. 271-279 are 254 x 203 mm; ff. 280-305 are 299 x 213 mm; ff. 306-312 are 259 x 203 mm; ff. 313-321 are 296 x 209 mm; ff. 322-332 are 259 x 203 mm; ff. 333-336 are 296 x 209 mm; ff. 337 x 342 are 264 x 208 mm; ff. 343-380 are 259 x 203 mm and ff. 381-457 are 263 x 210.

The text is in German and typed on the recto sides of the leaves only. There are some pencil annotations, mostly altering the numbering of remarks, not in Wittgenstein’s hand.
