MS 140 consists of 7 bifolia and 26 single sheets arranged thus: 4 bifolia, 24 single sheets, 2 bifolia, 2 single sheets, 1 bifolium. The manuscript has been folded in half. Each leaf measures 470 x 370 mm, has a margin delineated by a crease, presumably by Wittgenstein. and is ruled with 46 lines. The manuscript has been foliated ff. 1-39. The text is in German and written in blue/black ink with some pencil and red pencil. Only the rectos are used with the exception of f. 39v which is numbered §1.
