MS 119 is a casebound volume measuring 221 x 173 mm. Wittgenstein has included dates between 24 September and 19 November 1937 in the text. The binding consists of black and brown marbled paper over board, quarter bound with a light brown cloth spine and corners and a bookseller’s label on the front cover. Internally there is one flyleaf with geometric printed endpapers in brown at front and rear and 147 leaves, each ruled with 20 lines. The bookseller’s label on the front cover reads ‘Ed. B. Giertsen A/S - Bok- & Papirhandel, Smaastrandgaten - Bergen.’ and another booksellers label of the same provenance on the front pastedown. The text is in German with substantial coded remarks, written in blue/black ink with some red pen and pencil. The volume has been foliated ff. 1-148 including the rear flyleaf by library staff, the first 147 pages have been paginated 1 to 147 by Wittgenstein.
