MS 127 is a pocket notebook measuring 175 x 110 from the ‘Denbeigh series of commercial books’. Wittgenstein has included dates between 6 January and 4 April 1943 and between 27 February and 4 March 1944 in the text. The binding is green canvas with a red spine. Internally there are 117 leaves measuring 175 x 108 ruled with 21 lines each. The volume is neither paginated nor foliated. The text is in German and English with a few coded remarks, written in pen using blue/black ink and pencil.

This volume was known to von Wright when he produced his catalogue, but its location was unknown. It was brought ‘from Oxford’ to Trinity College Library by Peter Geach in the 1990s.
