MS 128 is a large hardback account book measuring 323 x 197 mm. The binding is green fabric on card with a dark red spine. Internally there are flyleaves at the front and rear with 48 leaves measuring 321 x 196 mm. The volume has been used upside-down. In its correct usage, each page is ruled with 41 lines with two double red lines running horizontally at he top of the page and seven vertical red lines dividing the page into columns. Pages 1 to 27 have been paginated by Wittgenstein and the entire volume has been foliated by another hand.

The text runs from the rear to the front of the volume. It is in German, written using a pen with blue/black ink. Ff 27 onwards are blank.

This volume was brought to Trinity College Library by Rush Rhees on 1 January 1970.
