MS 160 is a hardback pocket notebook measuring 158 x 93 mm. Wittgenstein has included the date 15 September 1938 in the text. The binding consists of black fabric over board with a red buckram spine. ‘Memo’ in upper case is embossed in gold on the front cover. Internally, there are 52 leaves, each ruled with 20 lines and foliated ff. ii, 1-51, iii. The text is in German and English and written in pencil and pen using blue and blue/black inks.

This volume was passed by Rush Rhees to Trinity College Library on 25 Sep 1970.
