MS 161 is a softback, spiral-bound pocket notebook measuring 159 x 101 mm. The binding consists of green card with a wire spiral binding the leaves together. ‘The Spiral Note Book’ is printed on the front cover and is partially obscured by the remains of a cable affixed by Rush Rhees. The rear cover is currently detached. Internally there are 70 leaves measuring 159 x 101 mm, each ruled with 19 lines and foliated ff. 1-70. The text is in German and English with a few coded remarks, written in pencil with some blue/black ink.

This volume was passed by Rush Rhees to Trinity College Library on 25 Sep 1970.
