TS 233b is a bound volume containing cuttings of various sizes that have been pasted in. The binding consists of light brown ‘sundour’ fabric on board measuring 278 x 214 mm. Internally, there are 33 leaves, each measuring 270 x 207 mm and a flyleaf front and rear. There is also a pocket attached to the inside rear cover containing 8 loose cuttings.

Each page had three blue vertical double lines dividing it into four columns. The volume is paginated pp. 1 to 66 by the binder using a stamp. Pp. 64 and 65 are partially used and p. 66 is blank. Pp 4, 6, 8, 20, 30 and 32 have extra cuttings attached only at one edge so they can be turned back to see the cuttings beneath.

Most of the cuttings are typescript, but some are in manuscript. Some typescript pages are also annotated by Wittgenstein and by Peter Geach. Blue, black and blue/black inks have also been used. Text is in German.
