MS 156a is a hardback pocket notebook measuring 158 x 105 mm. The binding consists of embossed fabric on card with a fabric spine with ‘Memo’ embossed on the front cover which also has a small label attached by the literary executors. Internally there are 60 leaves measuring 158 x 99 mm each ruled with 19 lines. There is some dog-earing and the binding has been strengthened in places. The text is in German written in pencil with some pen using black ink.

This volume was passed by Rush Rhees to Trinity College Library on 25 Sep 1970.
