MS 108 is a casebound volume measuring 338 x 224 mm. Wittgenstein has included dates between 13 December 1929 and 9 August 1930 in the text. The binding is bottle green buckram, which is possibly a repair over an original binding. Internally there is a flyleaf front and rear and brown paper endpapers. There are 150 leaves 330 x 204 mm ruled with 34 lines on each page and paginated pp. 1 - 300, but not by Wittgenstein. The text is in German with some coded remarks, written using pencil.

The volume remained in Wittgenstein’s family until May 1970 when it was presented to Trinity College Library, by Wittgenstein’s niece, Clara Sjogren.
