MS 109 is a casebound volume measuring 337 x 218 mm . Wittgenstein has included dates between 11 August 1930 and 3 February 1931 in the text. The binding is bottle-green fabric over board with a leather spine, which is probably not original. Internally there are 150 leaves measuring 328 x 203 mm ruled with 33 lines on each page with flyleaves and light green endpapers at front and rear. The volume is paginated 1-300, possibly by Wittgenstein. The text is in German, written using pencil with red and blue pen used for annotations.

This volume remained in Wittgenstein’s family until May 1970 when it was presented to Trinity College Library, by Wittgenstein’s niece, Clara Sjogren.
