MS 121 is a hardback exercise book measuring 221 x 172 mm. Wittgenstein has included dates between 26 April 1938 and 5 January 1939 in the text. The binding consists of navy blue paper over card with a brown leather spine. On the bottom left of the front cover there is a bookseller’s stamp embossed in gold reading ‘W Heffer and Son, 19 Sidney Street, Cambridge’. Internally there are 94 leaves measuring 221 x 172 mm ruled with 23 lines per page, including the front and rear pastedowns. The text is written in German. Blue/black ink has been used in the volume which is foliated ff. 1-95 including the rear pastedown. Ff. 94 and 95 are blank. There is some dog-earing, notably ff. 11-12.
