MS 133 is a casebound volume measuring 250 x 208 mm. Wittgenstein has included dates between 22 October 1946 and 28 February 1947 in the text. The binding is green buckram quarter bound with green leather. Endpapers are red marbled paper. Internally there are two flyleaves front and rear, one bearing marbled endpapers and one of light blue paper, and 94 light blue leaves ruled with 25 lines per page. The front plain flyleaf bears a printers stamp reading ‘W Heffer and Sons Ltd, Sidney St, Cambridge’.

The volume is paginated pp. 1-32 by Wittgenstein and foliated ff. 1-96, including front and rear inner flyleaves, by another hand. The text is in German with some coded remarks. It is written in pen using blue/black and blue inks and pencil.
