MS 151 is a softback notebook measuring 280 x 223 mm. The binding was originally staple bound and consists of brown card covers with a purple buckram spine. There is a small label placed by the literary executors on the front cover and ‘C7’ written in pencil in the top right-hand corner. Internally there are 48 leaves measuring 280 x 218 mm each ruled with 29 lines. The volume is paginated pp. 1-96, though not by Wittgenstein; pages 48 to 96 are blank. Rust stains on pages 45 to 49 suggest that something was affixed to these pages using metal paperclips. The text is in English and German and is written in pencil.
