MS 164 is a hardback pocket notebook measuring 170 x 108 mm. The binding consists of black fabric on board with a red buckram spine. There is a small label affixed to the front cover by the literary executors. Internally there are 84 leaves measuring 170 x 108 mm, ruled with 21 lines. There is a little dog-earing. The volume is paginated by Wittgenstein pp. 1-70, 73-172, including the pastedowns. Text is in German and written in pencil and pen using blue/black ink.

This volume was passed by Rush Rhees to Trinity College Library on 25 Sep 1970.
