MS 180b is a softback notebook with a stapled blue/green card binding measuring 198 x 159 mm. There is a label affixed by the literary trustees to the front cover. Internally there are 32 leaves, each measuring 198 x 158 mm and ruled with 20 lines. Between ff. 29 and 30 two pages have been cut out leaving stubs and effectively reducing the volume to 30 leaves. Folios 27v and 29 are blank. The surviving text on these stubs is in English and may be the draft of a letter. The volume is foliated ff. 1-30, not including the two stubs, in a hand other than Wittgenstein’s. The text is in German and English and written in pencil and pen using blue/black ink.
