MS 145 is a softback notebook measuring 283 x 226 mm. Wittgenstein has included the date 14 October 1933 in the text. The binding consists of brown (possibly originally green) card covers with a green fabric spine and was originally stapled but has since been sewn. There is a small label on the front cover affixed by the literary executors and ‘C1’ written in pencil in the top right-hand corner. Internally there are 48 leaves measuring 283 x 217 mm, each ruled with 29 lines. The volume is foliated ff. 1-48 by a hand other than Wittgenstein. The text is in German, written with pencil and with pen using black ink.

This volume was passed by Rush Rhees to Trinity College Library on 25 Sep 1970.
