MS 146 is a softback notebook measuring 284 x 226 mm.Wittgenstein has included the date 12 December 1933 in the text. The binding consists of pink card covers with a dark pink fabric spine, originally stapled but since repaired and sewn. There is a small label on the front cover affixed by the literary executors and ‘C2’ written in pencil in the top right-hand corner. Internally there are 48 leaves measuring 283 x 218 mm, each ruled with 29 lines. The first 15 pages are paginated 1 to 15 by Wittgenstein; folio 16 is a little dogeared. The text is in German and written in pencil and pen using blue/black ink.

This volume was passed by Rush Rhees to Trinity College Library on 25 Sep 1970.
