MS 172 consists of 6 loose bifolia measuring 300 x 210 mm, each ruled with 29 lines. It is paginated in pencil pp. 1-12, 14-16, ?13, 17-20 with one unpaginated bifolium, probably not by Wittgenstein. Text is written in German in pen using blue and blue/black inks.
