MS 178a is formed of a series of 5 loose leaves measuring 333 x 208 mm, consisting of one single leaf, a bifolium and two single leaves; each leaf is ruled with 35 lines. At some point the manuscript has been folded in half. It is numbered ’Sheet 1, 65’ and is foliated 1-5, though not in Wittgenstein’s hand. The text is in German and written in pencil.
