MS 180a is a softback notebook with a green card binding measuring 202 x 164 mm. There is a label affixed to the front cover. Internally, there are 40 leaves measuring 201 x 163 mm, each ruled with 20 lines. It has been foliated ff. 1-40, though not by Wittgenstein. The text is in German and written in pen using blue/black ink.

This volume was passed by Rush Rhees to Trinity College Library on 25 Sep 1970.
