belong to the language? As you like. They
don't belong to
the verbal || our spoken language; but if I say to someone,

you will
count the
second “the” also as || call the second
“the” also a part
of
the sentence. Yet it plays a very similar role to that of
a coloured
square || bit of
paper in
the language game

of what the other person is supposed to say, just as the
coloured square is a sample of what B is supposed to
bring.
It is the most natural thing and
it causes
the least confusion if we
reckon || count the
samples among the instruments of
the language.
